Discover the Power of Therapeutic Breathwork

Release Stress | Reconnect with Your Body | Awaken Inner Peace

Are you feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in life? So many of us are holding our breath and constricting our bodies. Leaving us drained and stressed!! Stress is the directly correlated to all illnesses that are pervading our society and our precious bodies.

There is a HUGE pattern in the people I support and that is that you give so much to the world and rarely do you show up consistently for yourself.  It is my pleasure to offer you a soft + gentle landing place to UNWIND!

Therapeutic breathwork is a body-based, experiential practice that uses conscious connected breathing, somatic awareness, emotional expression, and guided support to help you listen beneath the thinking mind. For many of us, insight is not the problem. We already understand a lot. The harder part is learning how to feel what is happening in the body, stay present with emotion, recognize nervous-system patterns, and make space for something new.

Breath gives us another doorway in.

I offer therapeutic breathwork in Lawrence, Kansas as well as online breathwork sessions for people who want to explore embodiment, emotional expression, nervous-system awareness, and deeper connection with themselves.

What Is Therapeutic Breathwork?

Therapeutic breathwork combines conscious connected breathing with somatic and relational support. Rather than trying to think your way through an experience, we invite the body into the conversation.

During a session, you may notice sensations, emotions, memories, images, impulses, resistance, insight, or simply a deeper awareness of yourself.

There is no particular experience you are supposed to have. The practice is less about forcing a release and more about becoming curious about what your body is communicating.

Sometimes the breath brings energy.
Sometimes emotion.
Sometimes quiet.
Sometimes clarity.
Sometimes absolutely nothing dramatic happens — and you simply practice being more present inside yourself.

All of that belongs.

Breathwork is intuition training. It is the barometer of your emotional expression.

Why Work With the Spirit of Breath?

Many of us learned to live from the neck up.
We analyze, explain, anticipate, manage, and we keep fucking going...Meanwhile, the body may still be holding tension, emotion, protective patterns, unfinished experiences, and information we haven't learned how to hear.

Therapeutic and Somatic - based breathwork creates an opportunity to slow down enough to notice.

Through breath, body awareness, and relationship, we can explore questions such as:
  • What am I feeling underneath the story?
  • Where am I holding or bracing?
  • What happens when I allow more sensation?
  • What emotions have been difficult to express?
  • What does my nervous system do when I begin to soften?
  • What does it feel like to take up more space inside my own body?
  • What becomes available when I don't immediately push an experience away?

This is not about breathing perfectly, it's about practicing relationship with yourself.

Emotional Expression Through Breathwork

Emotion is "physical". Grief can feel heavy in the chest. Anger can bring heat and movement. Fear can tighten the belly. Joy can expand the whole body. And sometimes we have spent years learning how not to feel any of it.

Therapeutic breathwork can create space for emotional expression through breathwork in a way that is supported, curious, and grounded.

You may cry, laugh, feel anger. You may move, make sound, and discover that what you thought was anxiety was grief, or that underneath exhaustion there was anger, longing, fear, or desire. Or you may simply breathe and notice.

There is no performance here, your body sets the pace.

Breathwork + Nervous System Awareness

Breathwork is also an opportunity to develop greater nervous system awareness.

Instead of treating your reactions as problems to eliminate, we can begin noticing them as information.
  • What happens when you feel overwhelmed?
  • Do you speed up?
  • Shut down?
  • Leave your body?
  • Become very still?
  • Try harder?
  • Disconnect?
  • Reach for control?

A breathwork session can help you practice noticing these patterns in real time while staying connected to your body and to another human. Over time, that awareness can become part of how you relate to yourself outside the session too.

What Happens in a Private Breathwork Session?

My private breathwork sessions are individualized rather than one-size-fits-all. We begin by talking about what is happening in your life and what you are noticing emotionally, physically, relationally, or internally. From there, I guide you into the breath gradually.

A session may include:
  • grounding and orienting
  • conscious connected breathing
  • sensation tracking
  • somatic awareness
  • emotional expression
  • movement or sound
  • imagery
  • relational support
  • reflection and integration

Some sessions are very quiet, others are deeply expressive. Some feel spacious and meditative and others bring unexpected insight or emotion.

We follow what is actually happening rather than trying to manufacture an experience.

Who Is Therapeutic Breathwork For?

Breathwork can be a meaningful practice for people who feel:

  • stuck in their heads
  • disconnected from their bodies
  • emotionally numb or emotionally overwhelmed
  • curious about somatic healing
  • ready to explore patterns beyond intellectual understanding
  • interested in deeper self-connection
  • drawn to body-based or experiential practices
  • curious about how breath, emotion, and relationship interact

It can also be especially meaningful for sensitive, intuitive, creative, neurospicy, and deeply feeling humans who experience a lot internally and are looking for another way to listen.

Therapeutic Breathwork in Lawrence, Kansas + Online

I offer breathwork in Lawrence, KS through private sessions and group experiences.

Online breathwork sessions
are also available for people who prefer to participate from home or live outside the Lawrence area. Whether we are working in person or online, the intention is the same : to create enough space, support, and curiosity for you to hear what is happening underneath the noise.

Breathwork is one of several experiential approaches I use. Depending on what you are exploring, our work may also include somatic practices, relational work, guided imagery, subconscious exploration, Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, emotional expression, intuitive work, or simple grounded conversation.

Sometimes we begin with the breath, sometimes the body, sometimes a story. Sometimes a feeling you cannot quite name.

We begin where you are.
